Room for more?

Time to place your bets, friends. Can we fit another cutie in the backseat? Sometime around June 15, 2011 our faithful Saabi will put to the test in just how many little people it can hold. The best thing about going home for Thanksgiving this year was sharing the good news of another baby on the way! Now, will it fit? Some of us think it's just not going to work. As much as we've loved this car over the past years, it just seems too small for 3 little people. Others of us are convinced it will work, but we may need smaller car seats. Still others envy the grand vistas the larger vehicles offer from the backseat; the rest of us just don't care -- as long as there's a snack sometime in the near future. I won't say who's in what camp, but we know how toddlers (and mamas-to-be) love their snacks!

So, choose a side and leave your comment for us to ponder.

Congrats Childri!! So excited to see if you'll have another little Anna or Joshua!
And I KNOW John is insisting that you can fit three seats across the backseat. And it confirms my belief that he is CRAZY. No way that can happen unless you buy all new seats and even then, when Anna moves up to a booster, if it's really tight in there she will have a very hard time buckling. Michelle Post has three in her back seat, but her sedan is bigger than yours.
I vote for crossover! Don't take the minivan plunge! Haha. Who cares as long as you are happy, though.
So fun!

Congratulations!!! So happy for you! And, I am in the no way crowd too...we have the pop-up seat in our Volvo and it is so tight even with that tiny thing that the kids can never get their seat belts buckled!

You know my vote! I tried to fit my bum in between those two last weekend, and on behalf of whoever would be stuck in the middle (Anna?), I say NOOOOOOO WAY! I'm sure all these no's are just making John want to prove us wrong... but I have no doubt you'll win this one. LOL

So excited for you guys! I remember when you told me that John thought you guys could fit 3 back there....not sure?? As you know, I was anti mini-van before three but it is truly the way to go...especially when traveling!! Hope all is great with you guys!

Oh Marie, how I wish I were a better friend and could call you to say congrats! I really am going to try this week. (The stinking time zone thing still throws me off)

Congrats you guys!

Now about the car:
If you are anything like me, you get your daily/weekly doses of sanity while driving in the car. When things get crazy here, we have to take a car ride somewhere, ANYWHERE. Maybe the three littles will fit in the backseat of the Saab, maybe not BUT once you realize that they are all in "touching" distance in the back seat of the Saab, things may change (so will the amount of sanity that you will be able to get from any trip out)...besides where would you put baby number 4? Just looking ahead!

At one time I hated the idea of a mini-van but that has since changed, if you need anymore reasons why you NEED a mini-van email me.

Congrats!

Bigger is better! I love our minivan and we only have one with another to show up at anytime. I love that all I have to do is push the button on the key and the doors slide open, perfect when your hands are full and your hands will be full!

Can't wait for our two newest to meet in October. We will definitely be up there then for the reunion.

Congratulations Childri family! We are so excited for you. I so can't wait to meet those little two.

I don't have a minivan, BUT, I vote you need one.:)

1. My main reason for wanting a minivan is so that others can ride with our family. I'm finding the older the child, the more they want to have a friend along.

2. Those legs get longer quicker than you realize and then it gets tight.

3. If the seats are too close, they can't buckle them themselves and who needs to buckle three belts at the end of a crazy shopping trip.

Anxious to here more - about the baby and the car.

Yay and congrats!

You'll definitely need something bigger, sorry John.

I drove a mini-van in college and LOVED it. They're making them much cooler now too.

Not that I have, or even want one. I'm just saying.

But YAY for another baby!!

Wow! Congratulations you guys! I vote mini-van. I'm a fan of the Honda Odyssey. I have a Cr-v and I like the Ford Edge, but 3 carseats across the back is tight in the Edge and impossible in the Cr-v. Happy car shopping ;o) and Congratulations again!
